Smart People Drink Milk!

It comes as no surprise to us that winners drink milk and losers drink the other stuff. Unbelievers listen up! This fascinating statistic was posted over at Time Magazine:
Nations whose people consume the most milk and dairy products, per capita, also win the most Nobel Prizes, per capita, according to a new study published in the British journal Practical Neurology.
I can sum up the quote for you dumb non-milk drinkers by saying:

PEOPLE THAT DRINK MILK ARE SMART!

Now we've reported in the past that drinking milk actually makes you smarter. Let's put two and two together and think about what this means for a moment.

SMART PEOPLE DRINK MILK

Want to do better in school? Want to excel at your job? Want to impress friends, loved ones, and complete strangers with your awesome mental prowess???? Then pour yourself a tall glass of nature's most perfect food! Why you'll even look smarter while you're drinking it. Milk is chock full of vitamins and minerals to do your whole body good. And make you smart!

A Very Dairy Inauguration

My Inauguration Party Hat!

There will be no report today because I'm in Washington D.C.! It isn't everyday you get invited to an Inaugural Ball!

-Shirley, former Presidential Candidate, on the Udder Side.

------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Shirley,

Barack and I are so pleased that you will be attending his Inauguration on Monday. I think that you and he can find common ground on many issues. Barack has one weakness that you may not have heard about; he loves ice cream. Did you know that when he was growing up in Hawaii he worked at an ice cream store scooping out delicious dairy treats for the customers?

We're all milk lovers at the White House. I have steadfastly supported having milk as a part of a good diet. In my Let's Move campaign I have received the support of the dairy industry as I fight against obesity.

If you have not had a chance to look at the menu for the 2013 Inauguration I think when you do you will be quite pleased. We have two items specifically dedicated to dairy. We will be serving Sour Cream Ice Cream as well as Artisan cheeses. You are going to love it! Plus, Beyonce, a milk lover from way back, will be one of the performers.

Can't wait to see you and sit down and chat.

Sincerely yours,

Michelle Obama

Shadows in the Dark: A Dairy Mystery

I was pretty excited to hear that Dairy Dave had written a new book of short stories. I have not been able to pull myself away from these! This detective one is my current favorite. Shhh...don't tell anyone I copied and pasted it!

Shadows in the Dark
Dairy Dave

The telephone's ring ringing sounded like cymbals smashing the two halves of my brain together. I had fallen asleep again at the desk with my feet kicked up and wrinkling notes from a few unsolved cases. I pushed an empty glass out of the way to check the time and the l.e.d. display was as red as my bloodshot eyes. Four in the morning. Who calls at four in the morning other than a crazy dairy farmer?

The Leibster Goes On

The Leibster goes on, the Leibster goes on
La de da de de, la de da de da

As it turns out our reports here have won an award, which should prove to all the doubters that hard work eventually pays off. The most gracious FarmNWife has given us the Leibster Award which is for:
...a way to help bloggers interact and increase their networks, readership and just have fun. The point of the Leibster Award is to encourage fellow bloggers and build a larger social community. It is awarded to bloggers by bloggers with a following of fewer than 200 people."
I hope the award looks like a tiara!
But nothing, not even milk, is free in life. Part of claiming this award is to list eleven random facts and answer eleven questions.  How to get The Farmer to fill out this paperwork without really knowing what he's doing? I copied the questions down on a form saying he'd been chosen as the farmer of the year for World Food & Dairy International Magazine and mailed in to him. He's a sucker for stuff like that. This was how he filled it out.
